Environmental Policy

It is Practicality Brown’s policy to protect the environment through sound operational practices. We recognise that our work can both impact and improve upon the environment.

We will implement a management system that meets the requirements of ISO 14001.

We are committed to:

• Minimising our environmental impact, aiming to enhance the quality of the environment, preserve and increase biodiversity.
• Continually improve our environmental performance.
• Complying with all applicable environmental legislation and other requirements.
• Preventing pollution from our activities where practicable.

We will do this by:

• Leading from the top
• Developing a culture in which the protection of the environment is encouraged by greater awareness, understanding and management of environmental issues. We expect all employees to conduct their duties in accordance with this Policy.
• Regularly reviewing all our activities in order to define specific targets for action.
• Minimising energy use; maximising the efficient production and supply of biomass wood fuel.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities where applicable.
• Providing appropriate environmental training for all staff.

We will bring this policy to the attention of our employees, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant interested parties. We will review this policy on an annual basis.

This policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure that it remains up do date in respect of the legal requirements and good practice
