Abies grandis (Giant Fir)

Description

This Giant Fir is a tall, stately tree which grows up to 60m in its natural habitat. Branches appear on a brownish grey, smooth trunk and grow out horizontally. The shiny, dark green needles are flat and have two white stripes underneath and has a pleasant aroma. The upright cones are 10 – 12 cm long and about 4 cm wide.

Abies grandis tolerates shade well and grows in all soils
