Description
Acer palmatum ‘Dissectum Viridis’ is a Japanese maple tree that grows into a mound-like habit, with long weeping branches. Its foliage is a striking lime green in summer, which changes to a warm mix of gold, red and orange in the autumn before they fall. The leaves themselves are slender and deeply cut with 7-9 lobes. The maples’ cascading effect can be showcased in many ways, such as in rockeries or as a feature in a low border.
Ideal Conditions: Grows best when protected from strong winds, well-drained but moist soil or sandy loams
Maximum Height: 2-3 metres (with a maximum spread of 2 metres)
