Description
Amelanchier Ballerina is a very good small branching tree for gardens with limited space; it is also known as June Berry or Serviceberry Ballerina
It is tough, hardy and has masses of spring flowers, , followed by foliage which is a coppery colour that turns to bright green by late spring.
The autumn colour is brilliant red, emerging in conjunction with rounded fruits which are initially red in summer before turning black in the autumn. Although not the sweetest of tasting fruits, they are edible, adding to the attraction of this little tree as a superb addition to any garden planting scheme.
