Description
Cedrus deodara or Himalayan deodar cedar is an imperial tree which grows fast in its youth and can reach an imposing 12m in height. Native to the Himalaya’s in the UK it is mainly grown as a specimen tree but in other parts of Europe it is grown as a timber tree. Its trunk can reach 2 metres in diameter with branches growing horizontally from the base of the tree all the way up to the top.
Ideal Conditions: Grows well in most soils but must be well drained, allow a lot of space
Maximum Height: 20 metres
