Fagus sylvatica ‘Beehive’

Common Beech is often used for hedging and topiary such as this Beehive as when it is cut it regenerates well. It also retains most of its leaves in the golden/brown form into the spring.

Ideal conditions – Sun or partial shade. Good on chalk but also tolerates slightly acidic soil.
