Description
Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Gold’ is an elegant architectural tree with an upright tightly columnar form. Its foliage is fresh light green in spring, deepening to a dark green in summer, and then golden yellow in autumn. Dawyck Golden Beech is a tough tree, like its parent, and will thrive just about anywhere, but does not do well in exposed or coastal conditions and best suited to reasonably fertile and well drained soils but does not perform well on heavy clay or light sand.
