Description
Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Purple’ is a fastigiate or upright beech with shinning dark foliage. It has the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is an excellent architectural specimen tree. Its narrow habitat makes it ideal for parks and verges. The deep purple leaves turn gold in the Autumn.
Ideal conditions – A sunny site on moist limey to slightly acidic, free draining soil.
Maximum height: 10 – 15 metres
