Description
Fraxinus ornus ‘Anita’ Ash has a slender crown. The odd-pinnate finely serrated leaves are blue green and the creamy-white very fragrant flowers appear after the leaf in May/June. The tree can be used as a park tree and is suitable for industrial estates. Fraxinus ornus ‘Anita’ Ash tolerates drier soil and is very resistant to wind.
We are currently unable to import Ash trees due to ash dieback disease. The disease is caused by the fungus Chalara fraxinea and leads to leaf loss and for some death. Ash dieback is now present in most parts of England, although the severity of the disease varies locally.
