Description
Juniperus virginiana Skyrocket is a narrowly columnar evergreen conifer which is excellent plant for breaking up low or horizontal planting schemes.
Also known as Juniper scopulorum Skyrocket, or Rocky Mountain juniper Skyrocket, this erect, densly closed columnar conifer has attractive blue-grey foliage with slightly lighter shades in the spring.
Junipers need little if any pruning but prefers full sun and not shade. It can tolerate a hot sunny spot, is frost hardy and wind resistant. Works well in urban areas.
Soil: Dry to moist, acidic to very alkaline, well drained soils.
