Description

Larix decidua or the European larch is a large conical tree. It has a straight trunk with dark reddish brown, scaly bark, with cream young shoots bearing soft, light green needle-like leaves in whorls, turning yellow in autumn. Larix decidua needs a free-standing site in the sun.
