Description
Malus ‘Rudolph’ is one of the best crab apples with pink flowers.
A medium sized tree which is columnar when young becoming rounded with maturity. The leaves start a copper red and turn to bronze/green before rose pink flowers and fruits which last well. This variety shows good resistance to pests and diseases. Good for gardens and urban verge planting.
Ideal conditions – Sun to light shade. Dislikes heavy soil and is sensitive to salt. Wind protection is recommended as flowers can be blown away in the spring.
