Description
This Cherry Plum tree is one of the first trees to blossom in the UK. It is a twiggy, upright deciduous tree which produces masses of beautiful, white flowers in early spring.
The small leaves are deep green which turn a golden in autumn, along with orange, red or yellow plum-like fruits. It is hardy and resistant to diseases, and will tolerate most soil conditions, thriving particularly in well-draining soils.
Like its purple cousin, Prunus cerasifera Nigra, this cherry plum will tolerate very severe pruning, making it easy to maintain and therefore a perfect tree for small gardens.
Mature height: 3-7m
