Description
Prunus serrulata ‘Shirotae’ Mount Fuji cherry has an attractive, gently weeping shaped crown, which can develop some almost horizontal branches as the tree matures. The foliage of appears first as a green fringe throughout the tree, which is then followed by a combination of large single and semi-double pure white flowers which are profuse and delicate.
Like all Japanese Cherry trees, Prunus serrulata ‘Shirotae’ prefers to be grown in a free draining soil.
Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
This attractive ornamental flowering cherry tree looks stunning when planted as a focal point or in a spot where the flowers can be viewed against a bright blue spring sky.
