Description
Taxus baccata ‘Höpken’s Gigant’ (European Yew Hopkins Giant) is a small tree that grows upright, dense, slender and usually reaches a height of approx. 5 m.
Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in color. Decorative red cones adorn Taxus baccata ‘Höpken’s Gigant’ from September.
This tree tolerates frost well. It prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to partially shaded location.
Fast growing, about 30 – 50 cm per year.
