Description
Tilia x europaea Pallida or the Kaiser Linden has uniform pyramidal habit with lush leaves that are light green, with a slight yellow hue to the underside, turning in the autumn time to golden yellow and orange in colour. The summer flowers are sweetly scented and borne in clusters.
Common European Lime Pallida is a useful tree, which thrives pretty much anywhere and tolerates all soil types including clay. Consideration of the planting location needs to be made as this species may attract aphids which secrete honeydew. This fine Lime tree is perfect for avenue planting, forming imposing and statuesque specimens at maturity.
