It has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit proving it a valuable addition to many gardens. We love it for city and courtyard gardens where its scent can be fully appreciated in smaller spaces but it is equally at home in wall side borders and even sheltered coastal gardens.
A relatively trouble free plant growing 8-12 metres in 5-10 years with around a 4-8metre spread. Prune in early spring.
